Past outcomes do not create a schedule
For random-machine designs, each play is evaluated through the game's approved random selection process. A recent win or loss does not create a requirement for the next play to compensate for it.
A machine that has been quiet is not automatically closer to a win, and a machine that just paid is not automatically cold.
Why the myth is persuasive
- People naturally look for patterns in streaks and clusters.
- A rare outcome can be memorable even when many ordinary outcomes are forgotten.
- Anecdotes do not reveal the full number of plays or the game's configuration.
Make the decision about your plan
Choose whether to play based on the game, wager, and entertainment budget you understand—not on a promise that a machine owes someone a result. If the game no longer fits your plan, taking a break or leaving is always available.
