Denomination is a unit value
A denomination is the value assigned to one credit, such as $0.01, $0.05, or $1. Different configurations of the same game may use different denominations or offer several choices.
The denomination does not by itself tell you the total wager. A game can use multiple credits, paylines, ways, or bet levels on each spin.
Check the total wager
- Look for the total bet or wager amount displayed before you press play.
- Confirm how many credits or bet levels are selected.
- Read the paytable and help screen for the machine's own definitions.
- If a setting is unclear, ask casino staff before wagering.
Configurations vary
A cabinet may offer several denominations, minimums, or game configurations. The labels and controls can differ by manufacturer and property, so use the information shown on the actual machine rather than assuming every version works the same way.
A useful pre-play check
Before the first spin
Confirm the denomination, total wager, available balance, and any feature settings. If the amount is outside your plan, choose another configuration or another game.
